"This is the story of a small mountain town seemingly lost to the world and the lively bunch of beastfolk that live there. When a handful of new faces all move into town, something awakens within as malevolent forces that are both cosmic horror and political find their gazes fixed upon the small hamlet that had enjoyed nothing but peace in its, until now, mysterious history."

Last Tail is an ongoing slice-of-life furry story set in a world that is every bit the Earth we know today, but a version of it where magic is as commonplace as the smartphone. It's a world where the horror movies we know and love are inspired by actual events or simply feature a particularly vicious monster species as the titular antagonist. A world where swords and guns are equally dangerous.
This story is written specifically with the Furry community in mind. There are no humans to be found whatsoever, so anytime a celebrity or otherwise well-known individual is mentioned, it is natural to assume that they, too, are anthropomorphic animals of some sort.
Last Tail is a mash-up of Final Fantasy VII and XV, Dragon Ball Z, and inspired by series like Helluva Boss and Outlaw Star. It's as ridiculous as it sounds, and it is being written solely for me to have fun with various subjects in a world that doesn't require a whole lot of building to get started.
This may be a world where the villains are villains, and many things are black and white, but it's all-inclusive and welcoming, just like the wonderful community that inspired this story's creation.
!!! Content Warning !!!
INTENDED FOR ADULT/MATURE READERS

Needless to say, if you're easily offended or any of the listed warnings above are triggers for you, then Last Tail probably isn't for you.
