Just browing my old pixel art folders, and— [Part 1]

I don't draw anymore. At all. I was never particularly good at it to begin with, but I did make attempts at it for a few years, creating graphics for RPG Maker games and eventually graduating to bigger pieces in the Furry and My Little Pony(which sort of brought both things together... more on that later).

This post pertains mostly to two important characters of mine—well one, as the other has expired—namely them being my original fursona and the anthro-form of my Arcanine from Pokemon.

I made what were essentially bromides for the main characters I had at the time, mimicking the sometimes lewd unlockable portraits of the main cast in the two Lunar games.

My original fursona was Azul; A blue fox(totally original). A normal, run-of-the-mill kind of guy that ran a down-home mercenary business with the dream of one day getting a major gig that was more than mowing the elderly panther's front lawn or doing repairs on equipment at the local farm.

He had a whole crew of varying species and genders, and I'll dig up their portraits down the road, but for now, I want to focus on the character that actually survived the years.

Freya was my longtime Pokemon partner, caught and hatched in my first playthrough of Pokemon FireRed way back in 2004. And in every mainline Pokemon game since, when possible, I have had an Arcanine on my storyline party AND in my metagame team.

It was in 2010 that I decided to try making her into an anthro, and while this image here doesn't depict the design that I finally settled on for her, it does have a few of her qualities such as one overgrown canine and feathered bangs.
