Welcome back to. . .
Traversal of the mountain was rough; Enemy soldiers were around every corner, and when I wasn't fighting soldiers, these goblin-like creatures were on my case every other step of the way! They were easy to kill, but that didn't make their presence any less of an annoyance.
I wasn't about to NOT just stop and take in the scenery, however. As treacherous as the climb had been, the view here felt like an award in and of itself. The spring breeze was nice and chill and the air tasted clean. Once this Armlet business is over with, I may return here for some R'nR.
Finally making my way to the Walled Palace, I was met with much resistance in the form of both enemy and great gusts of wind. There traps at every corner with floor spikes and automatons. Towards the end of the palace was an ambush of several enemy types that nearly got me.
Finally face to face with Silver Armlet on level ground. They were surprised by my speed and ability to face the challenges they had thrown at me.
Silver Armlet tossed me into the pits below the palace, right into a monster's pit. It's like I was Luke Skywalker or something! The giant creature slithered its way up through the narrow passageway, attempting to swallow me up in its giant gaping maw. When it couldn't quite reach, it shot out a tongue that also had a mouth on it(where had I seen that before?) that I quickly cut off using my Doom Sword.
After the tongue fell away, the creature reared back in pain and exploded like all good monsters should. In its remains, I found another trinket that allowed me to use the various warp portals scattered throughout the land!
Where I go next is anyone's guess.
