Hiya! The name’s Advrik. A 30-something Grey Wolf living his best life in the town of Brickhedge! Oh, haven’t heard of it? It’s a small mountain town in—*incomprehensible wolf noises*
But to break character for just a moment. My name’s Richard, or Rick. I am in my late 30s. I am an aspiring writer and wanna-be published author with a vivid imagination and sense of adventure for someone nearing forty years of age with clinically diagnosed anxiety and depression, so if I’ve got anything going for me, it’s that.
If the introductory blurb or header image wasn’t enough to give it away, I am a Furry. It had been something that followed me all my life, with a realization of, yes, that is actually what I am, occurring in 2010.
Below is a quick list of some of my interests, therefor things to expect here if you follow me:
- Books! Specifically creature-feature horrors and fantasy.
- Gaming! RPGs, life-sims, action-adventure in particular.
- Movies! Horror and Science-Fiction are my go-to genres.
- Outdoorsy stuff! Fishing, hiking and gardening.
And going back to the mention earlier of my liking to write: I am actively writing a series titled Last Tail. Set in the fictional town of Brickhedge, it’s a slice-of-life tale coated in a thick layer of epic modern fantasy, all wrapped up with a colorful and eccentric cast of anthropomorphic animals! It takes place on an alternate reality version of Earth where humans never came to be, where magic is as common as the smartphone, and monsters are the main source of danger… Outside of evil, reality-bending politicians that may or may not get their powers from cosmic horrors.
And without dabbling too much about it because I absolutely do not and will not be posting about the current climate in this country: I am an Ally, one hundred percent. The only time my personal opinions will be expressed here will be via episodes of Last Tail once I start posting them, as I use the series as an escape and expression.
If you’ve read this far, thank you! You’d be the first person in a long time to have read any of my ramblings.
