With last months announcement of a brand new mainline Mana game, my mind has been racing as to how I could possibly celebrate the lead up to the game's launch this summer.
And so I decided that I would fire up Trinity Trigger. A love letter to the 16 bit era, right down to the over the head camera angle, town layouts and the way in which dungeons are structured. There is of course some more modern features like crafting, but so far it's very faithful to the era it is trying to harken back to.
To my delight, I found that it has a monster encyclopedia, which gave me the idea of screenshotting the bosses in the game and posting them for funsies, a trend that is going to, I think, continue for each game that I play during the Year of Mana, which means a bunch of Mana and Mana-like games.
