Today, we go. . .
I scaled the grueling mountainside, doing battle with both man and monster alike as I made my climb. The temperature rose rapidly, not from the warming springtime sun, but from the active volcano that loomed just overhead.
The volcano itself was full of enemies; Wizards, goblins, giants, and soldiers. All vying to impede my progress in finding the spirit that rested deep within.
Finally, I came upon a red door, and with the key in hand, I opened it and stepped through. What lay beyond wasn't totally unexpected given the environment, but nor was it totally welcomed either.
After a long drawn-out battle, I was able to slay the creature, but not before exhausting many resources.
With the dragon gone, having fallen below and exploded, the passageway was clear and I could make it to the sealed door on the other side of the pit.
There I met Shade, the shadow spirit. He joined me on my quest and together we fled the volcano, which had begun to erupt in full after the dragon's destruction.
Outside, high atop the mountain where only the distant mountains could be seen, the sky was darkening. I had an ominous feeling in my stomach but I wasn't sure why.
The old wise man that lived atop the mountain told me that I must return to the castle quickly, for the forces of Silver Armlet were on the move and sought something held deep within the castle.
